Suzhou Menhow Has Introduced AOI Testing Equipment to Boost High-End PET Printed Circuit Quality

2026-01-09
In high-end sectors like medical devices, smart wearables and automotive electronics, the precision and stability of PET printed circuits directly determine the competitiveness of end products. Faced with the stringent requirements for these circuits—line width accuracy of ±0.02mm and alignment accuracy of ±0.05mm—Suzhou Menhow, a manufacturer with over 20 years of experience in membrane switch, printed Ecg electrode and pressure sensor, has fully introduced advanced AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) intelligent testing equipment. Through an intelligent upgrade covering the entire production process, the company has achieved a leap-forward breakthrough in precision control, delivering reliable customized solutions to high-end customers worldwide.

As high-end manufacturing advances toward miniaturization and integration, precision demands for PET printed circuits continue to rise. Among Suzhou Menhow's high-end clients, products feature a minimum line width of only 0.1mm, with some complex items requiring up to 7 layers of overprinting. Traditional processes could only achieve an optimal alignment precision of around 0.2mm, and manual visual inspection suffered from low efficiency, high missed detection rates and insufficient precision, failing to meet high-end quality standards.

To address this pain point, Suzhou Menhow deployed AOI inline testing devices in its production process, upgrading quality control from "post-production sampling" to "in-process full inspection". The devices real-time monitor line width, strictly maintaining accuracy within ±0.02mm. For products with 7 or more overprinting layers, the AOI equipment leverages high-precision visual recognition technology to boost alignment accuracy to ±0.05mm, significantly improving efficiency while resolving the industry dilemma of balancing precision and efficiency in multi-layer overprinting.

Additionally, the AOI equipment can accurately detect micro-defects as small as 0.05mm—including ink breakpoints, color differences, indentations, burrs and seam misalignment—with a detection accuracy of up to ±0.01mm. Even for printed circuits with a 0.1mm line width, no ink overflow or burrs are observed when magnified 100 times, fundamentally eliminating end-product failures caused by micro-defects.

A Suzhou Menhow representative stated that the deployment of AOI equipment is both a technological upgrade on printed circuit to meet high-end market demands and a practice of the "quality first" philosophy, which will further enhance the company’s competitiveness in high-end sectors. Moving forward, the company will continue to deepen intelligent upgrading, providing global high-end customers with full-chain customized services through more precise craftsmanship and reliable quality, and contributing to the high-quality development of the high-end manufacturing industry.
